I Booked My First Driving Lesson using the App I Created at High School

For my final year project in high school Computer Science, we were required to find a client and develop an application for them. My father mentioned that his physiotherapist, Mark, was experiencing issues with their existing yoga booking platform.

To better understand the requirements, I conducted several interviews with Mark before beginning development. I created a Progressive Web App (PWA, powered by Ruby on Rails) called Book Physio, which allowed customers to book classes and leave ratings.

Mark’s clinic started using BookPhysio for while after the high school assignment was completed. As I was busy preparing for my high school graduation exams (for university admissions), continuing to develop and maintain the app became impossible.

My father’s company, AgileWay, took over the project, commercialized it, and rebranded it as WhenWise (whenwise.com) to align with its Wise product line. The platform is still live today!

WhenWise has been expanded to support more booking types and accommodates a wide range of business types, such as:

• Generic one-on-one booking (e.g. Physio, Dentists)
• Generic group lesson booking (e.g. Training)
• Tutoring (e.g. Piano)
